Ar Armor 500 - The Spartan Armor Systems® Legion XL Plate Carrier is durable, reliable and fully adjustable from 2XL-4XL. Designed to hold our 11"x14" body armor, the Legion XL can also accept 6"x6" or 6"x8" side plates for added protection, and the belt has been completely removed.
Based on many questions and feedback from customers, we developed the Sentinel Legion XL plate carrier that can be adjusted from sizes 2XL-4XL. The Sentinel Legion XL weighs about 3 pounds. 9 oz., will hold our Steel Core AR500 Omega and AR550 11"x14" bulletproof vests, while offering the option to mount 6"x6" or 6"x8" side plates. If you don't want to wear the Sentinel Legion XL in your belt - no problem! The cummerbund can be easily removed so you can wear a plate with front and back plates or a full set with side plates.

You have the choice of purchasing our Spartan™ Omega AR500 body armor based on a constant radius stamp (single curve) or our patented Advanced Triple Curve™ (ATC) design. It is important to note that our single-curve plate is equivalent to what our competitors consider "multi-curve" and our ATC design is a true multi-curve plate that has distinct curvature on the top, bottom and sides of the plate. At Spartan Armor Systems®, we've developed special materials to create smooth-curving plates that hug your torso for improved ergonomics. The Spartan Armor Systems® ATC body armor allows the operator to carry the weapon with maximum freedom and limited discomfort. Our finely tuned CNC equipment and deep understanding of what makes Steel Core Armor the best has allowed us to create the armor that makes up our bulletproof vests without bending the 'creases'. Bend-bend, "work hardens" the plate, causing more stress on the part of the plate that is subjected to stress during the manufacturing process. WE STRONGLY advise when doing your research that you ask any manufacturer you are considering if they can bend their body armor. All metal body armor is cut and formed after the ballistic material is cast into the metal. While other body armor manufacturers tend to cut most of the steel plate with a plasma torch using high heat (25,000 ˚C / 45,000 ˚F), Spartan Armor Systems® uses laser cutting for protection only. integrity of every bulletproof vest we make. Plasma cutting also requires grinding to clean up the edges after the fact, resulting in higher temperatures and potential fatigue. Instead of bending the custom plates in 2 different places as was done before, we created special tools to give these plates a nice curve to fit the side of your torso. Spartan Armor Systems ™ is proud to be the FIRST in the industry to offer the triple trade Spartan ™ Omega™ AR500 Body Armor. Spartan Armor Systems' ATC™ body armor allows the operator to carry their weapon on the shoulder with maximum freedom and limited discomfort.
